Getting the most from your heated scoop

A few simple habits keep CreamGlide working beautifully for years of dessert nights.
Charging and battery care
- Charge with the included USB-C cable before you need it. CreamGlide doesn't heat while it's plugged in.
- Keep the charge port cover closed and dry, and never charge with a wet port.
- If you won't use it for a while, give it a top-up charge every few months.
Scooping technique
- Press the button and wait for the status light to show it's ready.
- Hold the scoop at a shallow angle and draw it across the surface of the pint toward you. Don't dig straight down.
- Let the warm bowl and blunt leading edge do the work, curling the ice cream as you go.
- Never pry. If the pint is rock-hard, give it a few minutes in the fridge first.
Find firm pints tricky to manage? A shallow drawing motion with your whole arm, rather than a twist of the wrist, is the most comfortable way to scoop with any tool.
Cleaning
- Let the bowl cool completely first.
- Wash the metal bowl by hand with warm, soapy water.
- Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Don't immerse the handle or put it in the dishwasher.
- Rinse the drip rest under the tap and dry everything before putting it away.
Make the first scoop part of the treat.
