Weeknight pint, sorted
I keep a pint of something good in the freezer for weeknights, and this has made the first scoop feel like part of the treat. Press the button, wait for the little light, and it rounds off a proper neat scoop.
New The Rechargeable Edition
CreamGlide is the heated ice cream scoop that warms its polished bowl before the first scoop, then waits on its own drip rest between servings. One button, USB-C charging, no cord at the table.
"It looks smart on the table, sits on its drip rest between servings, and guests asked where I got it."
The bent-spoon standoff
The U.S. FDA recommends keeping your freezer at 0ยฐF (โ18ยฐC). That's exactly right for keeping ice cream safe, and exactly why the first scoop fights back.
How it works
Press the recessed button. The amber status light shows it's warming, then shows when it's ready.
Draw the warm bowl across the pint. The blunt leading edge starts the curl and the bowl rounds it off.
Set it on the drip rest between servings. When you're done, let it cool, wipe the handle and wash the bowl by hand.
Inside the design
Nothing on CreamGlide is decoration. Here's what each part does, and why it matters when the pint comes out of the freezer.
01 ยท Electric preheating
An enclosed heater sits right behind the polished metal bowl and warms it before you scoop, so the edge rounds through a firm pint instead of chipping at it. The heater is designed with temperature sensing, a separate thermal cut-off and an automatic timeout, so it never just stays on.
"Press the button, wait for the little light, and it rounds off a proper neat scoop."
02 ยท One clear control
A single recessed button near the neck starts the preheat cycle, and a slim amber status light tells you when it's working and when it's ready. There are no modes or dials to learn, and the button is recessed so a knock in a drawer won't switch it on.
"This makes a tidy scoop without fuss and the button is easy to find."
03 ยท A considered place to rest
Most scoops end up in the sink or on a paper towel between servings. CreamGlide comes with a low, matching drip rest with a shaped recess, so the warm bowl sits up off the counter or table and the drips stay in one place. It's just a rest, with no electronics, so it rinses clean.
"No drips on the counter, no sticky spoon left in the sink. Quietly pleased."
04 ยท Polished bowl, smooth handle
The broad, polished oval bowl has a softly pointed, blunt leading edge that starts the curl, and a slim metal neck. The warm-white matte handle has no ridges or grooves for ice cream to hide in, so a quick wipe is all it needs.
"The warmed bowl gave nice clean scoops and I just set it on its rest between bowls."
05 ยท USB-C rechargeable
Charge it with the included USB-C cable, then serve without a cable in sight. The battery is protected, the charge port is covered at the back of the handle, and a charging interlock means it won't heat while plugged in. Charge in the afternoon, and it's ready for dessert.
"Charges on USB-C, scoops our evening ice cream nicely, and the drip rest keeps the tiny counter clean."
06 ยท Gift-ready
Each scoop comes in a two-piece rigid box with a matte warm-white wrap and a fitted molded-paper tray. Lift the lid, lift the scoop, and the accessories sit in their own compartment. It looks right on a birthday table, a housewarming or under the tree.
"Honestly it's the nicest thing in my kitchen now."

It sits on its little drip rest next to the kettle, which my wife has decided is its permanent home. No drips on the counter, no sticky spoon left in the sink. Quietly pleased.
Friday is movie night in our house and I'm the one who dishes out. Warmed bowl, one button, tidy scoops, back on the couch before the trailers finish.
Used it for my sister's birthday and dished out strawberry onto plate after plate of cake. Popped it back on the drip rest between rounds so it wasn't rolling around the table.
Lovely scoop and the warm bowl makes a neat ball. My freezer runs very cold though, and the guide says to let really hard ice cream soften rather than pry, so I take the tub out a little early now. Only reason it's not five stars.
We don't carry much in the RV, but this came with us. Charges on USB-C, scoops our evening ice cream nicely, and the drip rest keeps the tiny counter clean.
Packed it in the cooler bag with the drip rest for a day on the water. Tub out, button pressed, and everyone got a proper round scoop on their cone.
Did dessert for our backyard barbecue: bowls of strawberries with a scoop of vanilla on top. The warmed bowl gave nice clean scoops and I just set it on its rest between bowls.
My mom sent this to my apartment, which I thought was a bit random. Honestly it's the nicest thing in my kitchen now and my roommates keep borrowing it for cookie dough.
Hosted dinner for friends and served the ice cream alongside a fruit tart. It looks smart on the table, sits on its drip rest between servings, and guests asked where I got it.
Works really well once it's charged, but you can't use it while it's plugged in, so I've learned to charge it in the afternoon before guests arrive. Cool it down, wipe the handle and wash the bowl by hand, and it's ready again.
I have a small bowl of butter pecan most evenings in my armchair. This makes a tidy scoop without fuss and the button is easy to find. A good little gadget.
FAQ
Every CreamGlide includes the rechargeable heated scoop, its matching drip rest, a USB-C cable and a use and care guide. The Scoop & Serve Set adds two heavyweight dessert spoons and two reusable 16 oz pint containers. The Gift Pack has two complete scoops, a gift box for the second one, a free pint cozy and our recipe e-book, The CreamGlide Scoop Book.
No. Charge it with the included USB-C cable, press the one button, and wait for the status light to show it's ready. Then scoop as normal and set it on the drip rest between servings. That's all there is to it.
A regular scoop is room-temperature metal, and a conductive scoop relies on the warmth of your hand. CreamGlide has its own small electric heater that warms the bowl before you scoop, so you don't have to run it under the hot tap and drip water into your pint. It also has no springs or levers to snap, and it comes with its own drip rest.
It's made to make firm pints easier and neater to serve, not to cut through a block of ice. If your freezer runs very cold, take the tub out for a few minutes first. Never use the scoop to pry, because that can bend any scoop.
Let the bowl cool, wash the metal bowl by hand, and wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Don't immerse the handle or put it in a dishwasher, and keep the charge port dry. The drip rest can be rinsed under the tap.
Plug the included USB-C cable into any USB power adapter. It doesn't heat while it's charging, so charge it before you serve. Runtime depends on how many preheat cycles you use; the care guide covers charging and battery care in full.
The bowl gets warm, not hot enough to glow or steam. The heater is designed with temperature sensing, a separate thermal cut-off and an automatic timeout. Keep fingers off the warm metal, keep it away from children, and read the safety notes in the care guide.
